WAQF QURAN DIGITAL BRAILLE
With new technology, we are hoping to make the Quran accessible to all. There are over 2 million visually handicapped people in Indonesia who are eager to learn, read and memorise the Quran. A copy of a traditional physical Quranic Braille is equivalent to approximately 30 large books. It is no doubt challenging for them to read the Quran. Hence we wish to provide them with a digital Quranic Braille which comes with a digital pen reader hoping that they could learn better and easier. This programme's objective is to make the divine words of Allah swt accessible to all. Let us all help them to read the Quran.
In Ramadhan 2019, Global Ehsan Relief staff distributed Quran and Quran Braille Digital in Aceh, Indonesia. 300 Quran mushafs were given out to five different districts. Upon receiving the mushaf after much anticipation, the children hugged it tightly and started to read it immediately.
We also visited a school with visually impaired students, from teenagers to adults. With only a few Quran Braille available, it was a challenge for all of them to read the Quran. Thanks to your contributions, they each now own a Quran Braille that can help them read, recite, and memorise the beautiful verses.
