CARE FOR REFUGEES
WHAT WE DO > CARE FOR REFUGEES > SHELTERS
Shelter is a vital survival mechanism in times of crisis or displacement. It is also key to restoring personal security,
self-sufficiency and dignity.
Even after a year settling at Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh, the Rohingyan refugees are facing post-crisis issues. With increasing numbers of the population and limited space, we build shelters for the community.
We also built temporary shelters as part of our emergency relief efforts. The aftermath is devastating with houses and buildings wrecked and no places to seek safety from. Often, limited help is given. In 2018, we built 500 families temporary shelters for those affected by the earthquake in Lombok, 96 shelters were built in efforts for Palu & Donggala disaster relief.
