Most of the rural folks in Cambodia have no access to clean water

Drinking dirty, diseased water is one of the most common causes of death in the developing world - and one of the most preventable. We aim to build Community Water Well which is equipped with 6 taps, a generous washing area, a water tank and an electrical pump to draw the water. Each well can be shared with 5 families - which means almost 30-40 people will benefit from each community water wells.

When a community gets water, women and girls get their lives back. They start businesses, improve their homes and take charge of their own futures. Your charity will change lives in a poor country and give sadaqah in return. It also means that women and children don’t have to walk for miles to collect – often dirty – water. The average distance that women and children walk to collect water in Africa and Asia is 3.7 miles, carrying around 20 litres of water. Now – just think of what your water well charity can do.

Now - just think of what your water well charity can do.

Each Community Water Well costs $950 to build, you can support our cause by donating $50 or $100 as partial donations. For full waqf donation, here is what you will receive:

  • i) a certificate with the two names provided

    ii) a report

iii) photos of the completed community water well

Note: Due to the global pandemic and irregular weather patterns, the construction of our water wells might take a longer time to complete. The delay is exacerbated by the fact that they are built in developing countries, where they may not be adequately equipped to overcome the above-mentioned issues. Community water well may take 3 - 6 months to complete.

The construction of Community Water Wells are improving the lives of Mr Yakob and his neighbours. With clean water, he is earning a better living through the crops he sells.
