EMERGENCY WINTER RELIEF AID
As winter is approaching, refugees require ample preparations to survive the harsh winter conditions. In 2019 December, Ayham Al-Deek welcomed his fourth child as he fights the cold to keep his wife and children warm. Ayham recalled, "When the heavy showers came, I was worried about its repercussions. I am scared my wife and children would be affected." The 34-year old is currently living at Jordan’s Zaatari camp with other 78,000 Syrian refugees who are stranded there.

Millions of internally displaced people and refugees within Yemen, Syria, Bangladesh and Gaza face the same predicaments. Together with our partners, we have developed a Winter Package for those affected to help our beneficiaries combat the harsh weather conditions. One package will allow families to keep warm by receiving a winter kit consisting of winter jackets, gloves, blankets and cap. On top of that, a set of hygiene kit, food aid, baby food and mattress and heating materials. At only $300, you will be able to help refugees battle the cold season.

Last year, we went to Sanliurfa, Turkey in December to provide aid to the Syrian refugees. There were five volunteers who took part in the 7-day Community Involvement Programme (CIP) where they raise funds to provide aid in preparation for the Winter Season. Watch their expedition here.
