Global Qurban Project

On Eid Ul Adha, which marks the completion of the annual Hajj, the Muslim world celebrates and honours the tradition of the Prophet Ibrahim (Alahi Salaam) by sacrificing an animal and distributing the meat to those in need.

Qurban is the act of sacrificing a livestock animal. It takes place after Eid-Ul-Adha prayers, marking the conclusion of Hajj. Millions of Muslims around the world honour the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) by sacrificing an animal and then distributing the meat accordingly.

The Prophet (saw) said: “It is the sunnah of your father Ibrahim (as). For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (swt).” [Tirmidhi]

There is nothing dearer to Allah during the days of Eid al-Adha than the sacrificing of animals. The sacrificed animal shall come on the Day of judgment with its horns, hair, and hooves (to be weighed). The sacrifice is accepted by Allah before the blood reaches the ground. Therefore sacrifice with an open and happy heart. (Tirmizi, Ibne Majah)

As well as delivering in towns and cities, we also provide Qurban in remote, rural areas that some charities find hard to reach, where communities hardly ever receive support. It may cost us a little more, but we hope you will agree that it ’ s the poorest and most vulnerable people women, children, the elderly, and refugees of war and disaster who are always our priority.
