When refugees escape conflicts to seek safety, children are the most distressed. Matters worsen when they are separated from their parents on the road due to violence. Now, over 170,000 children become orphaned refugees.
These children struggle in search of safety, food and water. Without any care and adult supervision, they are at risk of child trafficking, exploitation and abuse. Girls in particular are at more risk of gender-based violence.
