Abu Huraira R.A. reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: “When a person dies, their acts come to an end except three; sadaqah jariyah (recurring charity), or knowledge by which people benefit, or a pious son who prays for them (for the deceased).” (Sahih Muslim)
Waqf is one of the forms of sadaqah jariyah mentioned in the hadith above, which benefits the community for years to come and can earn its donor ongoing rewards even after death. And what better month to seize these amazing rewards than the holy month of Ramadhan, when all good deeds are multiplied!
From mosques that will serve as the heart of rural Muslim communities, to water sources that will provide life-saving clean water and prevent waterborne diseases, to the everlasting gift of education, there are many ways you can take your Ramadhan to the next level and help the most vulnerable communities in the world.
This Ramadhan, give children in need the chance to read and learn the words of Allah S.W.T.
With new technology, you can also give millions of blind children the chance to read the Quran through braille.
