Central African Republic
The Central African Republic is four times smaller than Cameroon. Located on the east of Cameroon, the small country has 79% of its population living in poverty. The ongoing internal violence has caused people to lose their houses and land to be sold or confiscated. Now, 1 in 4 citizens seeks shelter in neighbouring countries or are displaced within their own country.
Allow Muslims in the Central African Republic to practice its faith. Build a waqf mosque in rural areas of Central African Republic for prayers, community gatherings and spiritual development. These will help refugees and the IDPs to have access to shelter, clean water and latrines amidst the conflict. Al-Mawaddah Mosque will serve approximately 200 people.
