Senegal
In areas like Tivaouane in Senegal, there is no mosque. Children go through daily life without knowing what Islam is. Despite being a muslim, they rarely have the opportunity to pray in congregation. Building a mosque will empower the muslim community in Senegal.
The Muslim-dominated country has at least 90% of its population as muslims. Despite that, not everyone has access to a mosque and it is expensive to build one. More than a third of the population lives below the poverty line.
