PHASE 1 OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE

A total of 350 food aid sets have been delivered, benefitting 2500 people. They are now able to sustain for at least a month worth of food ration.

Thank you for responding to our appeal. Through your donation, we are able to feed families in Yemen. Our project is still on-going, please continue and help us save millions.

Phase 1: 2nd July 2020

MEALS FOR CHILDREN

Daily breakfast meals are given out to 200 students who are prone to drop-out from school due to poverty. A voucher was printed for each student where the date of breakfast is checked when the student delivered his/her meal.

CLEAN WATER DISTRIBUTION

A total of 175,000 liters of water was supplied to the most vulnerable families in Yemen. These have benefitted them on a large scale considering diseases such as cholera and typhoid are widespread. We hope to improve the drinking water system as well as sanitation and hygiene services, increasing access to safe water.

FOOD PARCELS DISTRIBUTION

To alleviate the widespread poverty in Yemen, we have raised funds to distribute a total of 707 food parcels which enables each family to sustain for at least a month. Children are currently suffering from acute malnutrition, and 15.9 million do not know when their next meal is coming from.

In Yemen, there are different classifications of refugees, including asylum-seekers, internally displaced people and returned refugees. Unfortunately, what they all have in common is that they do not have a proper place to sleep. With our donors’ contribution, 700 quality blankets were provided to the homeless.

DELIVERING GAS CYLINDERS

Eating hot meals is a luxury for Yemenis. When gas cylinders ran dry, it is highly unlikely that they could get a refill. Millions resort to buying firewood. There is a severe shortage of fuel due to correlated reasons. A total of 200 gas cylinders have been distributed to one of the most poverty-stricken areas.

DISTRIBUTING SCHOOL KITS:

JACKETS & SHOES

Despite the number of children who are able to afford an education, plenty isn’t equipped with decent clothing. The barefoot school children and those who wear worn shoes or sandals were selected to provide them with better quality shoes and winter jackets. 500 shoes and jackets were trucked to the school and distributed to the targeted children.
